Our online courses are hosted on another platform and can be access via our ‘Online Courses Portal‘.
When you purchase an online course it is automatically added to your online courses account. If you don’t already have an account, one will be created for you and a special link will be emailed to you so you can set up your own password. If you don’t receive the email, please check your spam or junk folder as it may have gone in there. If you still haven’t received it, just contact us and we can re-sent it.
You can access your online courses via your account page, but you will need to log into the Online Courses Portal too to continue with the course. You can go directly to the Online Courses Platform and sign in using the following link: https://www.hgonlinecourses.com/users/sign_in
All you need is a reliable internet connection and access to a personal computer, tablet or phone – our online courses are responsive and designed to work across all platforms.
Our courses are presented in English, so you will need to have a good grasp of the language to be able to follow the filmed clips and read the associated material.
We also recommend that you study the courses somewhere quiet so that you can concentrate and get the most out of the rich, helpful information they contain.
No. Although our courses are primarily for the caring professions, all of our training is presented as clearly as possible without jargon so that anyone who is interested in the subject matter, whether for professional or personal reasons, can benefit from the material covered.

No, absolutely not – in fact that’s one of the main reasons we developed our online courses, so that more people from around the world could benefit from our training.

That’s really up to you! The beauty of our online courses is that you can do as little or as much as you like in one sitting.
The diploma-linked courses are based on our one-day seminars, with additional material to read and multiple-choice questions to answer after each film clip. So in theory, you could complete the course in one whole day (6 hours), but many people prefer to do one module at a time over a longer period.
Our webinars and free courses are shorter, from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours long.
Yes. The advantage of our online training is that you can fit it in around your other commitments whenever it suits you, day or night. All of our courses and webinars come with life-long access so you can take your time and complete them at your own pace.
Yes, all our courses and webinars come with life-long access so you can revisit the whole course, or just a section of it, as often as you need to. In fact, we recommend that you do this to help you fully absorb the material the course contains.
If you would like to review a particular section of the course again having finished the whole course, or even having moved through the course to a later section, you can easily navigate to an earlier section using the menu on the left of the screen.
Our core diploma-linked online courses count towards Part 1 of the Human Givens Diploma – a well-regarded and highly practical psychotherapy course that also has wider applications for promoting emotional health in other areas. Read more.
If you’ve got to the end of your course but your completion is less than 100% the download button for your certificate won’t appear, so you will need to check the course sections menu to find any that aren’t yet marked as complete (those you have finished will have a green dot next to them).
This might be because not all the questions were answered correctly, in which case you will need to retake that section. Alternatively, you may have been interrupted and didn’t finish watching a film or didn’t click the appropriate ‘Next’ button after watching it, which would have marked that section complete.
Simply, finish off the course and you will be taken to a page with a download link to your certificate. You can also access this link via the ‘Your Progress’ page, as long as you have completed 100% of the course.
Yes. Once you’ve completed 100% of your course you can access your certificate via ‘My settings’ in the drop down menu that appears once you’ve signed into the online courses platform. Click on ‘Certificates’ once you’re in ‘My settings’ and you will see listed all of the courses you’ve completed with links to view the appropriate certificate/s.
Alternatively, you can also download another certificate via the ‘Your Progress’ page within the course itself.
If you’ve got a question wrong and would like to review the appropriate film clip again before taking the questions again, you will need to exit the questions section by clicking on ‘Course sections’ in the menu – this will then allow you to scroll down and click on the appropriate film clip.
NB If you’re using a tablet (eg. ipad) or mobile phone to access the course, click on the two arrows in the top left-hand corner to get back the course menu.
Yes. If you’d like to buy a course for someone else, or would like to purchase a gift voucher than can be used against any of our training, please contact us and we’d be happy to arrange this for you.
