Carol Harper
M.A., HG.Dip.P., MHGI
Carol has 30 years’ experience in private practice, initially specialising in musculo-skeletal disorders as a McTimoney chiropractor. Her holistic outlook and curiosity has influenced her professional development over the years leading to her qualification as a Human Givens practitioner in 2007. Interest in the mind/body connection inspired her research into the HG approach to pain management for her Master’s dissertation.
She has delivered workshops on the Human Givens approach in a variety of settings including to businesses and organisations; is a Just What We Need course facilitator and a qualified Human Givens supervisor. She also taught Part 2 of the Human Givens Diploma course, and leads on the Part 3 week-long course.
As county co-ordinator for the charity PTSD Resolution she works with military veterans and their families who suffer from the effects of trauma. In that capacity she also provides therapeutic in-reach to Devon cluster prisons where she works closely with the mental health departments; and provides on-going support for Bude Surf Veterans in North Cornwall.
Carol works in private practice in South Devon. Her ‘back yard’ is Dartmoor National Park where she thoroughly appreciates the therapeutic effects of the natural world and pottering about on her allotment.
