FDA Rejects MDMA-Assisted PTSD Therapy

It seems that America’s all-powerful Food and Drug Administration has rejected an application for MDMA capsules to be used to treat PTSD, expressing concerns about potential bias, therapy misconduct, safety and efficacy, and requiring further studies. The disappointed applicants, Lykos Therapeutics, claimed that the decision would be a blow to millions of American PTSD sufferers “who have not seen any new treatment options in over two decades”.

However, for over two decades there has already been a powerful treatment for PTSD, which still has not received the recognition and support that it deserves.

That treatment is the rewind technique. As taught at Human Givens College, it is a non-intrusive, safe, and highly effective psychological method for neutralising the overwhelming emotional arousal which can blight people’s lives long after traumatic experiences have ended. The version taught at the college was refined by Joe Griffin and Ivan Tyrrell, co-founders of the human givens approach. It aligns with insights from neuroscience about how trauma is processed in the brain, to ensure it is as reliably effective as possible.

As well as being safe, quick, and painless, it is non-voyeuristic. Intimate or distressing details do not even have to be disclosed, which can significantly increase its appeal.
