Véronique Chown
Véronique is a psychotherapist with over 20 years experience in private practice during which time she also worked for three years in the NHS. Her original background, before she retrained in psychology and psychotherapy, was in education as head of modern languages and pastoral care.
She had specialised in using brief therapy interventions that employ guided imagery and metaphor to facilitate change in her psychotherapeutic work for some time but it was the Human Givens training she received in 2001 that, she says, took her work to new levels of understanding and effectiveness.
Véronique has helped people with all manner of behavioural and emotional difficulties over the years and has also worked extensively with couples. As well as running her private practice, she now draws on her rich experience working from the human givens perspective to deliver workshops in brief therapy strategies, therapeutic language skills and how to improve relationships that are struggling.
Véronique is also Supervision Coordinator for the HGI.
